Larger counseling agencies are a necessity for our communities; however, Onward & Upward Counseling values and is honored to provide counseling services in a smaller, more intimate setting. We seek to provide our clients with a safe, private, and comfortable environment that is conducive to exploring and changing unhealthy patterns of thought and behavior. We aim to support, challenge, and empower our clients to heal from past hurts and move confidently toward living their best lives.
My grandmother in-law, Martha Johns, was known as a genuine and generous lady in addition to being a savvy small business owner. She was contagiously optimistic and always had a word of encouragement for those around her. On occasion, the negativity of a life or business circumstance would begin to weigh heavy on her heart. After allowing herself the human experience of sitting in the worry for just a short while, she would inevitability exclaim, "Onward and upward!" Keep moving both forward and upward toward God and your goals. Life is hard and we will inevitability be knocked down from time to time, but we don't have to stay there. We can always choose to get back up and keep going.
